We have had the pleasure of working with architect John Hendricks on several projects, including this mountain cabin residence in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. This home is a wonderful example of the mountain style designs of Hendricks Architecture and showcases his use of natural materials and sensitivity to the site. The house is perched on top of a knoll, yet the profile was kept low to blend in with the surrounding terrain. The orientation of the home, combined with the use of natural materials and generous amount of glass, contributes to a strong sense of connection with nature.
This residence is the subject of a feature article in the January, 2009 issue of Cowboys & Indians Magazine and was also featured in the March, 2008 issue of Spokane Coeur d’ Alene Living Magazine.
